It is down to three potential winners, all in the Final Four
Semi-Finals on Saturday are worth 17 points (plus 2 for beating another player, 1 for the win):
North Carolina (Jaybird) vs Villanova (The CEO)
UCONN (HippieD) vs Michigan State (Babblemur)
Championship Game is worth 21 points (plus 2 for beating another player, 1 for the win)
Prognosis: If North Carolina, Michigan State or Villanova win the National Championship, Jaybird, Babs or The CEO, currently in 5th, 1st and 4th place, will win it all.
If UCONN wins the National Championship, HippieD will rise from 11th to 9th place, but who will finish in first then??? Jaybird or The CEO will pick up 20 points Saturday, putting them at either 452 or 453, still 2 points behind Babblemur. With neither having teams playing in the NIT, CBI, or CIT, that's it - if UCONN wins, Babblemur wins.
NIT - Butter Battle in a Bottle
Still points going on here - Semi Finals on Tuesday are worth 4 points (plus 2 for beating another player, 1 for the win):
San Diego State (Babblemur) vs Baylor (NotaTurtle)
Penn State (Musashisan) vs Notre Dame (Gunz)
Finals on Thursday are worth 7 points (plus the you know)
Commentary: If the CEO or Jaybird were just a little closer to Babs, the NIT may have become the decider in either putting Babblemur over the top or keeping them below the mark. Now it is for glory only.
CBI: Best 2 out of 3?
Whatever, I guess it is something different. Tonight UTEP (NotaTurtle) and Oregon St (Musashisan) play the first in a best of 3 game series for the CBI Title, worth nothing but the points they get playing each other.
CIT: [insert witty comment]
Tuesday is the finals of the CIT, with Old Dominion (Gunz) taking on Bradley for that single point that comes from a win. Combine that point with a Notre Dame NIT Champ and Gunz could move into seventh place leaping past ProgressMedia and Phunmunki.

Well our long national nightmare is almost over.
Notaturtle’s Bradley is fighting it out in the CBI Championships with Tulsa in a best of 3 contest worth no points.
In the NIT (worth a colossal 5 points), Mississippi (Phunmunki), Ohio State (Akaoni) and Florida (Notaturtle) are all in the Final Four (Yawn).
Oh yes - the BIG DANCE - the NCAA Final Four is up! It looks like Jutdog is going to win this no matter what (Notaturtle can win 28 points with UCLA, Jutdog can loose 2, not enough to make up the difference) but there is a grudge match for second place. Notaturtle leads with 136, Akaoni (Memphis) sits just 18 points back with 120, and Musashisan (North Carolina) is within reach at 107. Jutdog (Kansas) needs to win it all for bragging rights, but with his luck, he probably will.

Pretty sure - it looks to me that North Carolina or Villanova need to win the national championship or else the evil Babblemur finishes in first place.

So if Mich St wins, and UNC wins, and then UNC wins, Jaybird would take down Babs by 1 pt? Unless Babs advances in the NIT, in which case Bab's is not catchable.

Ah yes! The "Michigan State Beats UCONN" Scenario!
THAT is the case where the NIT can influence the outcome, and we'll know that tomorrow night (GO AZTECS!). If San Diego State loses, then yes, Michigan State could beat UCONN, lose to whomever, and I lose (if you call second place losing that is).
Of course I am rooting for Michigan State all the way, although if this contest weren't happening then at this point I think the best championship game that could come out of this would be UCONN v UNC.
By the way - anyone know if the two losers play each other on Monday?
Musashisan's switch from Oregon to Oregon State this year turned out to be a pretty good move! Oregon St over UTEP in game one of the CBI.

By the way, I really liked Megan Joy Whatever and felt that she was wrongly demonized but on the other hand she's probably too silly for AI.
Disagree completely. Her voice sounded like a combination of David Sedaris' impression of Billie Holiday (audio and video aren't synched) combined with new flavor of the month Adele (who actually is pretty good), which is probably the only reason she made it to the finals anyway.
Megan Joy's vocal talents aside, she seemed like a nice, real, and fairly good humored individual, but she didn't really belong on the show...
As to the no politics rule...I think I can get behind that, I'm still in a bit of a post Obama election hangover anyway.
Also, how does one embed video with the editing tools?
1. You write your posts in the html view not the other view
2. From youtube you copy the code to the right of the video where it says "embed video"
3. You paste it on your post
4. It works!
