- The Atlantic 10 got a boost with Temple, Rhode Island and Charlotte all jumping in to join Dayton, Xavier, and Richmond. Temple plays Duquesne on Wed and at Richmond Saturday, Charlotte draws GW and Fordham this week, and Rhode Island gets LaSalle and UMASS.
- New Mexico joins the Mountain West fray by hosting San Diego State on Saturday.
- UAB and UTEP jump into the CUSA in a three way tie with Tulsa, and Memphis a game out. UAB is on the road this week against Memphis and Rice. UTEP is at home against two player owned squads, Houston and Tulsa.
- Morgan State looks to remain undefeated in the MEAC this week.
- Marquette and St. Johns join the other shitload of Big East teams - Marquette draws DePaul and Providence this week, St. Johns will likely get pounded by a hot Rutgers and West Virginia.
- Virginia and Miami (FL) join the rest of the floundering ACC looking for some easy points. Virginia gets NC State and and Wake this week. Miami sees Wake and Florida St.
- Murray State looks to hold onto their undefeated record in the OVC
- Wichita State enters the MVC already 2 games down on Northern Iowa. They can make that one game down by beating them on Wednesday. Indiana St is on deck for Saturday.
- The SOCON gets Charleston and Western Carolina into play and into competition for the conference. Guess what? They've already played each other in their only match up and WC won.
- Coastal Carolina starts off 2 games up on Radford in the Big South, they'll face off in two weeks (Radford won the last meeting).
- Louisiana Tech joins Utah St and Nevada in the WAC. They will eventually have road games against both, but for this week, San Jose St.
- Northeastern and William & Mary were picked up in the Colonial, but no one took George Mason? GM has a 1 game lead over Northeastern and Old D. Northeastern faces Delaware and Hofstra this week. The Tribe are on the road at Old D and Georgia St.
- Pacific joins the Big West with a 1.5 game lead. They take on Santa Barbara and Cal Poly this week.
- Quinnipiac is in da house, in da NEC, one game back. They play Sacred Heart twice this week.
- Finally, Oregon St is no more, and Washington State takes their place in the Pac 10. Can you believe that at 4-5 they are only two games out of first place? They could grab a quick 6 points by hosting Arizona and Arizona St this week.
Week 12 Recap:
Virtually no change in the leader board by the end of the week. Akaoni extended his first place lead by a half dozen points by going 12-4 for 22 points, leading all players for the week. Boaris hit 17 to stay in second place, 13 for Gunz kept him in third, Jaybird bounced back with 16 points to remain in 4th. Jutdog's 20 points tied him up with NotaTurtle, who hit 15. The CEO remains just a few points back after a fine 19 point week. Babblemur's 15 kept him solidly in 8th place, ahead of Phunmunki (10 pts for the week) and Some Guy from Illinois (10 pts for the week).

I'm set for 3 game win streaks from:
WV, Marquette, Tenn, Minn, KState, Cornell, Utah St, Western Carolina, and Radford.
I'll punt on BC, but they might snag one in the next 4.
How do you know? You haven't helped me finish filling in the schedule yet. You can't be looking at your teams upcoming games unless you are entering them into the damn spreadsheet, butch.

Wow, huge week for Turtle with head to head matchups, could really make a move up the ladder this week.
Except that he'll be lucky to win 5 of the 12 matchups...
...Don't hate! I'm just keeping it real, yo!
(read: not wanting to take responsibility for being an asocial ass)
Okay, so yes - some great Bracket Buster games!
Siena (Jaybird) vs. Butler (Babs) WOW! Great Matchup!!!
Question for the masses:
Last year we allocated points to players for winning conferences as soon as they had been secured, rather than allocating points for winning conferences all at once.
What do you think - get them when you earn them, or hold back and unload them after all conference winners have been determined.
As you win, no reason to hold the points, it's part of championship week
-The CEO
um..... why?
I would prefer we give out all championship points at one time. It has more of a "wow" factor that way.
like, wow, Akaoni lost a lot of ground suddenly
Ronald, since it is your time and energy involved, and I occassionally help, I'd say do whatever is easier. Spreading it out, although against what almightly akaoni prefers, would take more time in one setting (time which could be spent on the phone raising funds for your campaign!).
Given that Akaoni just made a donation to my campaign, I'm inclined to see his point.
The "time" involved is actually awash in this case, because doling out points as they are due involves remembering which conferences were already wrapped up and points distributed and which ones weren't. Kind of a pain actually.
But we really have two weeks where conference winners are determined (as opposed to tournaments) - the week ending Feb 28 and the week ending Mar 7.
Then we have two weeks where conference tournaments are played out and auto-bids determined: the week ending Mar 7, and the week ending Mar 14.
So I guess a good "Hybrid" plan would be to allocate earned points for conference winners and conference tourney champs once a week, after the Sunday games are done. This gives three "mini-wows" rather than the BIG WOW (as in WOW, Babs actually won 7 Conferences! He's actually a contendaah!)
That's why I hate politics, money has corrupted you might babs, don't let the cash cloud your mind
Out of state money for that matter!
heh heh
I'm all about bringing *new* money to Oshkosh...
We R in UR elections corruptin' UR politiks.
BIG BIG SATURDAY - Schedule is finally done (except for Jut) check it out!
who would have thought that the badgers would be the #2 best pick considering round taken. As of today, they're worth more than Kansas and Villanova, and tied with Purdue, Duke, and Kentucky. That is good company.
I wonder how Iowa is doing.
A little shakeup action in the Colonial this evening, George Mason taking a surprsing shot on the chin, and William & Mary continuing their slide to the NIT.....
Great war between UNI and Wichita St, the shockers kept dropping 3's, I was sweating it out
And what would a CEO post be without mentioning Arkansas who got on the right side of .500 in the SEC overcoming a 15 pt halftime lead to knock off Georgia at Georgia. If one of my teams doesn't win the NCAA, I'm pulling for Arkansas
-The CEO
Man, South Florida is on a roll! Knocked off Georgetown tonight. Pitt last week, four game winning streak...
Yeah, I'm thinking you might have been right about them Ron. They're looking solid.
Also, I single handedly knocked off Iowa and Iowa State last night. It's a shame Pitt couldn't stick the knife in WV.
Just the beginning of my rise to the top Kao
Saturday should rock. 87 of the 100 teams are in play on Saturday. 50 of them play against other players teams. Lets do the math:
PVP games: 75 points
Top 10 upset points: 10 (2 guaranteed)
Other 37 games: 37 pts possible.
Saturday is worth a potential 122 points.
Best lil Babs can get is 12 of them :(
