WTF - St Marys finishes their conf tourney, and then goes ahead and schedules a game this Friday against Weber St.

While it is probably a make-up game, if this type of thing is legal, it is an amazing strategy for bubble teams that aren't looking on the right side: Schedule a game against each other and take the risk of significantly improving one team's chances while basically eliminating the others.

Death Matches.

Yes to death matches.

Gonzaga did it last year.

Looks like Baylor is going down the toilet. Whoever said it is right - will Musashisan get a team into the Big Dance???

Sounds like an ugly win for St. John's, I look forward to the hilights.

Fitting. Cheatin Commy babs and his Red Cheaters.

I think the refs were on the take, some really inconsistent calls did the following:

1) A touch foul on Rutgers 30 ft from hoop gives St John's freethrows.

2) The dude from Rutgers gets fouled pretty good, no call, just 15 seconds after a touch foul on other end

3) The St John's dude travels, then steps out of bounds

4) Lavin is a good 15 ft outside of the coaching box

I hope they all got enough to retire on......

Meh, I just watched the replay. Big fucking deal. Rutgers sucks and was going to lose anyway.

While most people are focusing on the 1.7 seconds, let's all agree it wasn't likely Rutgers would score in that time, the biggest no call was the foul on the shot in the lane with about 10 seconds to go, two freethrows for the lead, that is what hurt Rutgers the most

St John's has some mojo at the Garden....

St. Mary's game wasn't a makeup game. But it was a stupid move, as I'm pretty sure St. Mary's is in right now, but might not be if they lose to Weber St.

Mad Mader has five very winnable games against other players today that could net him 15 points.

Boaris, 5 points out, is the favorite in all five of his games today, 11 points possible with the opportunity to take first place.

Babblemur is 6 points out, with four tough games against other players and two cup cakes. The USC vs. California game is bigger than it should be since Jut owns Cali - can Jut widen his lead?

Gunz at 7 points out only has a longshot game against #2 Kansas today.

Akaoni, Slake, SGII, McGrumps, and The CEO need to bring home the bacon today - each win is an opportunity for more wins and points, each loss is another nail in the coffin.

Lunardi is sure hating on the Big 12, he has most of those teams seeded pretty high, the one that really shocks me is A&M, some quality out of conf wins, this team is pretty tough, they D well, I would have thought much higher than a 6 and well it is fictional, how good would an A&M / Villanova game be first round.....

Wow, Marquette might just win the Big East title...looking to avenge that loss at Louisville where they blew a 20 pt second half lead......

Pitt falls, Kansas is in a battle, and Miami recovered to force OT and get the win, I love this time of year!!

Mooseye: Winning!

UAB, welcome to the NIT

But Colorado goes to the big tourney, although like for many of these teams, there might be bigger points to be had in the NIT.

It has been fun, but now, I must gracefully bow out and allow you real contenders to slug it out. A 1-6 day, losing all 5 head to head matchups has nailed the CEO's coffin shut.

Some interesting developments: Slake B getting unexpected points out of Oregon, can they continue the miracle run and take down the Pac-10 tourney?

Colorado, left for dead heading into the Big 12 tourney, secures an NCAA bid, can they get more?

UCONN, in the tourney, but making a great run in the Big East tourney, wouldn't it be great to see another 6 OT classic tonight....

Notre Dame now playing for a number 1 seed, and looking deserving in a complete destruction of Cincy last night

Babs other Bubble team USC playing their way in too, one more win and I think they are golden, especially with fellow Pac 10 bubble team Wash St falling last night

The fact that as a percentage, we may have a higher owned percentage in the NIT than the NCAA's (not really, but this week has been fun to watch)

Apparently, Marquette can't figure out how to guard the three. When a guy is on fire and killing you with the three, you'd think that you wouldn't switch off that guy to double-team some guy in the paint, but apparently none of Marquette's players agree with me.

Wow,

4 games done, 2 in OT, Carolina survives major scare and wins at buzzer, and Xavier falls to Dayton, putting Dayton into Bubble talk.....

Love this time of year

Interesting that of the 4 teams Jut mentioned were missing from the Beast teams, 3 of 4 are still alive today with chances to win their conf tourneys over the next two days. No surprise that Kentucky is still alive or Washington, they just hit a rough patch, but Michigan St, are they pulling a typical March flip, that no matter what they have done to date, they will somehow limp to the final four? I don't see it happening this year, but these three continue to reward their owners
