Well Akaoni was clearly hit the hardest on Tuesday, losing two NIT teams and a CBI team.
The Clemson win over UAB in the NCAA was big, not for the 5 points but because West Virginia is very beatable.
Gunz' two losses aren't much to cry about since one was against his own team and the other was against #1 NIT seed Cleveland State (what?).
The UTEP - New Mexico game in the NIT pitted two #4 pick teams for Jaybird and Mooseye, both of whom only have three teams in the NCAA. A strong NIT showing for Jaybird and Mooseye would help with points. Kiss Jaybird goodbye, New Mexico could be a front runner for the NIT now.
Kent State looked both really bad and really good against St. Mary's. I thought St. Mary's should have gone to the Big Dance, but I guess Kent St disagreed.
Watch out for Charleston in the NIT - Dayton didn't.
Musashisan wins two! Could a CIT/NIT sweep be in store?

Boaris' teams are dropping like flies.
Kudos to Gunz for winning BOTH NCAA Play in games, I didn't notice that before.

Here are some lines from my sportsbook this morning, allowing wagers on over/under the number of games a conference will win in the tourney:
Big East 15 1/2
Big Ten 10
Big 12 7 1/2
ACC 7
SEC 6
Mtn West 5
Pac 10 3 1/2
Atl 10 2
-Mooseye
A few more:
Wins by #1 seeds 12 1/2
Wins by #2 seeds 9
Total #1 seeds in final four 1 1/2
Will a #13 seed win a game
Will a #14, 15 or 16 seed win a game
If I were a gamblin' man, I would have:
Over for the Big East,
Under for the Big Ten
Over for the ACC
Over
Under
OVER
No
No

I hope all you bastards learned your lesson from ol Boaris. That lesson you say, doesn't matter if you cheat the NCAA or shove your little Pitino up someones yoohoo, you ain't winning any championship without Charlie Sheen. Good night and god bless. Hope my check cleared.
At the bottom of the Leaderboard, Musashisan lost his last hope as Michigan State fell to UCLA. SGII, Akaoni and Slake all had one tourney game and won it to stay in the hunt - knocking off teams from Jut, Gunz, and the CEO.
The CEO got nailed hard and mercilessly. With five teams in the Big Dance, four were eliminated, with only Gonzaga advancing further to give the CEO some dignity in the end.
But poor Boaris, with his 8 teams in the Big Dance, 6 played Thursday, 4 lost. In fact the only team that won was playing himself, assuring him of at least one win. Down to just K-State, Tennessee and UNLV Boaris is down, but not out.
McGrumps should be pleased advancing two teams to the second round, if he adds two more (Memphis and Marquette) on Friday he will be in great shape. (Note also that McG became the first 200 game winner...)
Mooseye won two cupcakes to stay in first, with only three teams in the NCAA to start with he can't lose one early.
Gunz, Jut, Babblemur all keeping up, onto the next set of games! Bring it on!

Ouch. What a tease by Oakland. Then Memphis chokes down the stretch. Go Marquette.
Marquette is much better than an 11 seed.
Some Guy in Illinois swept his first round games - all four advanced to the second round. He's climbing to the top of the cellar door.
The top of the leaderboard is really quite amazing!
Mooseye: 3 NCAA teams
Jutdog: 3 NCAA teams
Gunz: 3 NCAA teams
Babs: 2 NCAA teams
Lots of parity, with Mooseye the clear favorite bringing the fire power of Kansas, Florida, and UCONN as well as a 12 pts lead. As predicted back on Feb 2 in my Powerhouse Trios review, Mooseye remains the favorite today.
I thought your Powerhouse Trios review was brilliant then, and it remains brilliant now.

The CEO Says:
I've been ragging on BYU all year, and was sure my bracket pick of Gonzaga leveraging their bigs inside was golden, I'm changing my tune, and now see a potential BYU/Wisconsin matchup to go to the final 4
I still hate Butler, not that I haad too much riding on that game or anything, I just don't like them, and what a dumb foul by Pitt, why slap him, yes the refs could have looked the other way, but I'll give them credit and say they were at least consistent, and yes, both were fouls.
What happened to Tennessee? They quit, and now you can kiss Pearl goodbye
Most intriguing matchups tomorrow:
Washington / North Carolina, someone pull down the over/under on that game, I'll take over
Syracuse / Marquette, remember, during their losing streak Marquette took Syracuse down, I'll take the Cuse in the rematch
Ohio St vs G Mason, when Siena (another team who wears green)made their run, who did they beat, that's right, the Buckeyes in the second round in a few OT's, I'll still take Ohio State though
Kansas / Illinois, a whole lot of talent on the court, and Illinois has the size to matchup, I still like Kansas here, but a win by SGII could make things interesting for him
Notre Dame / Fl State, they say defense wins championships, but that theory, Fl State should win this, I'm calling a close game that will be determined by whether Hansborough plays like an idiot (their loss to Louisville in Big East tourney) or hero
Does Michigan have enough gas to get Duke, well, Irving looked really good for not playing for so long, so I say no
That Butler win was a nail in Jaybird's coffin, especially with Temple falling to San Diego State as well. Even if Arizona runs it I don't think that will be enough.
Jut eliminated the CEO with the win over Zaga, it was inevitable really.
Boaris is going to have the misery of having Wisconsin eliminate him from further contention, or will he...
We keep thinking Akaoni is out, but then here he is with 2 NCAA teams, a hot Northwestern in the NIT, and Missouri State...?
McGrumps could have 3 sweet 16 teams if Marquette can pull it off tomorrow... So can Mooseye if UCONN pulls it off tonight
Slake B is down to Ohio State and Oregon in the CBI - tough game tomorrow against...
SGII is a rising dark horse but with a tough trio of NCAA games on Sunday with George Mason at Ohio State, Illinois vs. Kansas, and Washington vs. North Carolina. If Cincinnati pulls it off tonight then SGII could become a sudden contender...

Ceo: the over on Wash v UNC is 160. You can take the over. But I always sway to the unders and the teams getting big points as the tourney moves forward. At this stage, everyone plays conservatively to try and get to the sweet sixteen.
The nice thing about the UNC game for me is that it is basically a home game.
I'm surprised the CEO left out a great matchup between Zona and Texas, both teams that hovered around the AP top 10 for a good part of the year.
Also a few good matchups this morning in the NIT.
COME ON Arizona!
Texas must go down.
COME ON Illinois!
Kansas must go down.
If either Jut or Mooseye get 3 teams in the Sweet 16 we are in big trouble.
