I sure am glad SGII took North Carolina! I would have taken them otherwise as the 10th pick instead of California.

Well it was nice to see some of our "leaders" get teams knocked out of the NIT yesterday (No more points for these guys):

Seton Hall (Boaris)
Coastal Carolina (Akaoni)
Western Carolina (Jutdog)
Northeastern (Jaybird)

Boaris and Babblemur lead with 9 teams each still "in play" in post season tournaments.

Wednesday has some big games:
Rhode Island (Gunz) vs. Northwestern (Jaybird)
Wichita St (Boaris) vs. Nevada (Jaybird)
Illinois St (Gunz) vs. Dayton (Jaybird)

Aaaaannndd, we're off!

Good luck everyone! This is a great weekend, both the NCAA basketball and wrestling tourneys begin. Don't know which to pay attention to!

Wow, Robert Morris looked like they were going to take that one.

Bummer, Nova pulls out the win. Couldn't watch the game, but RM was up I think 8 with like 4 minutes left, but they couldn't close them out.

Comon Akaoni you are on a college campus you can watch the games online.

Butler may have a smooth ride into the sweet 16 if it makes you feel better.

I'd like to see two wins today. West Virginia obviously, but maybe one out of Cornell, Utah St, or Minnesota.

I think Pitt's tumble opened the door for KState, and if Syracuse can stay injured long enough, we might see that 4th K-State Kansas matchup.

What a wild first day. That must have eliminated 99.7% of all bracket predictions.

akaoni said...

As far as I know Pitt plays today...do we have some kind of precognition going on here?

Ron said...

Well what a first day!

OK I'm down but not out. With these kinds of miracles happening, California just might make the sweet 16 (ha ha ha).

Its still up in the air. Boaris and Akaoni are neck and neck, Jut, Babbles, Gunz and Jaybird are not too far out to make a play for it, however Turtle and The CEO may be just out of reach unless they sweep their games (or 3 out of 4) today.

Sorry Phun and Some Guy In Illinois, I think you might be SOL at this point short of putting 2 teams in the Final Four.

yes - I came back from the future and saw pitt go down. That or the world I live in, in which Georgetown and Pitt are the same interchangable team. At least upon second look, Tennessee may be going to the sweet 16. Go Oakland.

Round 2 wins are where things really get going. A team with 3 wins quickly snags 24 pts (1pt for win, +2 for win over another, NCAA bonus).

Come on, Morgan State! You can do it!

Delivered. I have my 4 in.
