Boaris and The CEO Sweep Super Saturday

Super Saturday saw seventy teams in play. Every one had a chance to take advantage of the opportunity, but only Boaris and The CEO managed to win every game.

The CEO went 8-0, including some surprising wins from Arkansas over Alabama, and Oklahoma over Missouri, and two other wins over other players. This 16 point performance launched The CEO past NotaTurtle and Jutdog and into 5th place.

Boaris pulled off a 7-0 day, but with few surprises unless Ohio St over Wisconsin caught you off guard. As most games were not against other players, the 11 points only allowed him to keep up with Jaybird (11 pts, 5-1) and skip past Gunz, whose dismal 2-4 showing landed him 2 points and a fall to fourth place.

The Accursed Akaoni had all 8 of his games against other players, and he won 5 of them, including a very close Syracuse over West Virginia win for 5 points, netting him 17 points and 30 points of breathing room between himself and his closest competition. Damn you, Akaoni! Damn you to HELL!

At the bottom of the board, Jutdog went 4-3 for 6 points, falling to sixth place (142 pts) just a hair above 7th (141 pts) and 8th (139 pts). NotaTurtle suffered another Purdue loss, this time to Northwestern, but Georgia Tech put down the Tar Heels salvaging the day with a 4-3 record and six points. Babblemur climbed closer to the two of them with 9 pts off 5-3 record for the day.

Some Guy in Illinois was crushed, going 3-5 for 5 pts, and Phunmunki's Xavier win over Dayton proved to be all she could take, losing her other four games and holding solidly in last place.

My 3-5 record could have been 8-0. L'ville, Ole Miss, and Wright St. all on the road and losing in OT, NC lost by 2, and Missouri led most of the game. Huge points left out there. So close, yet my teams still suck.

Stay low on the totem pole, get a better expanda-draft pick...

Still some good teams left out there with Temple looking like the cream of the crop.

When do we start the expansion draft?

Interim Draft and Release:

- The last week of January, each player must draft 2 additional teams.
- Draft order will utilize snake method, with pick 1 going to last place point earner
- A voluntary third round will take place following the 2-round draft, in which one team from the original roster can be dropped and a new team picked up. All existing points from original team will remain. Order will continue snake method from round 2.
- Points will begin to be earned by the new teams on February 2, and new points will no longer be added for the discarded team effective February 2.

This means drafting starts on Monday, Jan 25 and needs to be done by the end of January 31. This gives the Babs and Jut team 1 day to get it uploaded in the computer.
