Week Four goes to Babblemur

Babblemur took Week 4 with 24 points going 12-3 and winning 6 of 8 player v. player match ups. Babs was led by West Virginia with 6 points defeating NotaTurtle's Mississippi and Cleveland State. This strong showing pushed the masked communist solidly into second place.

Boaris and Gunz had strong showings as well, taking 21 points each. Boaris, who still leads the pack, went 11-3, winning 5 of 8 player v. player match ups. Oklahoma brought home the bacon with big wins over USC (Turtle) and Tulsa (Babs). Gunz went 11-2, winning 5 of 7 p.v.p. games.

The rest of the pack:
Jutdog (19), The CEO and Jaybird (18), Akaoni (14), Musa (13), Phunmunki (11), HippieD & Turtle (10), and bringing up the rear: Progress Media with 9.

Team of the Week:
Ohio State (Jutdog) who knocked off both Miami (Turtle) and #7 Notre Dame (Gunz) to bring home 8 points.

The upcoming week is a slow one, finals week.
West Virginia (Babs) v. Davidson (PM) could be a great game on Tuesday.
#6 Texas (PM) v. Villanova (CEO) could be good.
Temple (Jut) has a long shot at #8 Tennessee (Musa) on Saturday.
Memphis (Gunz) v. Georgetown (Musa) on Saturday will be a good game.
#4 Gonzaga (P-munk) v. Arizona (PM) on Sunday could be closer than it should be.

San Diego 4 yr starting point guard and 5th all-time point scorer our for remainder of final year with injury against SDSU. Thats the second player on the team to blow their Achilles' tendon.

Congrats to Wright State (Akaoni) and Cal St. Northridge (Notaturtle) for winning their FIRST Div I basketball games last night!

Wright State shut down Toledo scoring, beating them 50-35. Northridge took it to Denver 80-53.

Nice match-ups tonight.

Seems Western Michigan is the only Zero pointer left. Surprisingly, its not on Bab's team, who seems to historically hang around zeros.

Maybe Friday Stephen F Austin can get out of the slump of sucking and actually win a game.

Maybe I'll hang around last place through the end of Jan and get the first pick. By that time there will probably be a top 20 team not picked.

Dammit - I think I'll need to trade San Diego for Missouri. Or maybe:

Michigan
Illinois
Arkansas Little Rock
Virinia Military
Utah St
Austin Peay
Hofstra

I'm sure none will be left though. Fucken injuries. Last year my shit pick was Indiana, who started out nicely until the crooked bastard was uncovered.

Are there actually more than 24 good teams that weren't picked, where it would pay to actually drop a team? It'll take some schedule reviewing, as I can't imagine you'd get an NCAA team.

GO UW Milwaukee and UW Green Bay!

Down with Iowa!

I hope Louisville has their game together. 8 of their next 9 games are against other players, including at least one top 10 team. I could really use the 26 point boost.

"We have a lot of work to do..." Jay Wright. "Um, yes" The CEO.

It was nice sticking it to Boaris, but they need to step their game up heading into the Big East or Ron will be right, they'll suck....

Well I do appreciate Villanova's win over St. Joes. Like I said before, I don't see The CEO as any threat to me, so I am happy to see him defeat my real competition's teams.

Bwah hah haw!

I sure do wish the North Dakota State vs. Stephen F. Austin game were televised, maybe on ESPNFU or something. That would be like watching the Facts of Life girls playing basketball against the Welcome Back Kotter boys.

Go, Tootie!

Block that shot, Horshack!

Wisconson beats Idaho State by 2 at the Kohl Center, UWGB blows them out by like 20......huh!!!!

Ron, this next two weeks will either validate your comments above or debunk them. Compared to you and Boaris, I've had very few head to head opportunities, and trail you guys by 16-18 pts in that category. As a matter of fact, I think I'm only ahead of Jut. Siena has a couple of big opportunities, VCU a couple, I don't think my 8th pick will beat Notre Dame, but it would be a nice boost. It's sink or swim time.....

Don't forget Maryland Jut, they'll need to get some quality wins in the ACC and finish above .500 in conference play, but they do have the quality @$$ whooping of Michigan State. They also have a couple of bad losses. There are some teams out there though. Maybe it's strategic to limp into the January draft.....

Well then, as Texas A&M only beat Austin by 7, that would make A&M the Cosby show pompom squad?

After all, Austin has most of their players back from a 26-6 squad who beat Oklahoma and San Diego.

They'll be alright come conference season time.

Teams to be a bit more concerned about:
1. Western Michigan
2. Wright State
3. Cal St Northridge
4. St Louis
5. San Diego
6. Alabama St
7. Virginia Tech

This list will be much more obvious after 2-3 weeks of conference play, when the Minnesotas and Stanfords play top 200 teams.

I was watching a little Big 10 Network the other night. They actually had a quote from Tubby saying he intentionally scheduled a weak non-conf schedule and max # of home games to help his team build confidence, it has helped them build some points, but I echo Jut's sentiment, as conference play starts, I'm gunning for Boaris and Bab's. Who are your weak teams in the SEC that will give me the free points that you've been taking from the small schools early in the year?

I predict North Dakota State will slaughter the Stephen F. Austin Twinkies (or whatever they call themselves). Bunch of losers. One guy is so fat that the coach has to tie his shoes for him. One guy is so dumb he has to ask how many points a 3 pointer is worth. One guy is majoring in drivers ed with a minor in parallel parking.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Triple Overtime! The suspense! No kidding this game should have been on TV. Ben Woodside is at 49 pts now. Crazy!

Recognize... it will be tough for any of you MoFos to top my reg season performance today - 15 pts in one day. I figured you jokers have been given enough time to feel you have a chance.

Up to 73 with a Wright St pounding tomorrow.

Side note - good to see the Badgers playing FAR better than any other game of theirs I've seen thus far.
